Expertise
A little about myself - I grew up surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes and have a natural affinity with animals of all species.
I started working solely in the petcare line in 1997, giving up my career in computer networking to join a petfood distribution company in Cape Town, South Africa. On moving to Johannesburg a few years later, I started working in a veterinary clinic, where I remained for 5 years.
During this period, I completed a course in Companion Animal Behavioral Therapy with the Pretoria Technikon.
I also trained German Shepherd Dogs with a GDFSA training club, and I registered the kennel name 'Barchaelo' under which I bred 4 litters of German Shepherd Dogs before I relocated to the United Kingdom in 2005.
On arrival in the UK, I took up employment in a quarantine & boarding kennel and cattery, where I worked first fulltime and then on a parttime basis until October 2008.
I joined Noah's Ark in January 2008 as a dogwalker, and have enjoyed walking Horsham and surrounds dogs ever since. I so enjoyed it, that I bought the business in March 2009!
Noah's Ark employs 4 other walkers - Georgie, Lara, Laura & Jenny.
All are experienced dealing with companion animals, and most of us have horsey history as well!
